The start of September means a lot of different events, activities, signings and such coming down the pike. Here’s a quick reference to what’s coming up in the next couple of months:
Sept 3-6 – CopperCon 30 at the Mesa Windemere Resort. Guests include Stephen R. Donaldson, Yvvone Navarro, Weston Oches, David Lee Summers, and Mark Horning. Also featuring the United Federation of Phoenix’s 35th Anniversary party.
*Sept 10/11* – IncrediCon 2010 – Evermore Nevermore’s Local Comics Event in conjunction with 2nd Friday in downtown Mesa.
*Sep 11th* – Laughing Moon Con 2010 – One day gaming convention for Todd Van Hooser’s Laughing Moon Chronicles RPG.
Sept 17th – Smart Chicks Kick It Tour with Melissa Marr, Alyson Noel, Kelley Armstrong, Holly Black, Sarah Rees Brennan, Kimberly Derting, and Becca Fitzpatrick. Presented by the Poisoned Pen, 7 pm Scottsdale Public Library.
Set 17th – Jon Lewis signing at Barnes & Noble, Dana Park, Mesa, AZ 6 pm
Sept 19th – Can’t Stop the Serenity Space Pirates – Arizona Browncoats annual event at the Madcap Theatres in downtown Tempe.
Sept 19th – Artemis Rocks – Eoin Colfer presents a multimedia show for the latest Artemis Fowl Novel, Atlantis Complex
Sept 21st – Diana Gabaldon Launch Party for The Exile, a graphic novel of the Outlander Series. 7 pm Scottsdale Center For the Arts. Artist Hoang Nguyen will also be on hand. Note that this is a ticketed event sponsored by The Poisoned Pen.
*Sept 24th* – Teen Fiction Event – Jillian Cantor, Adam Rex, and Janni Lee Simner appear at Antigone Books in Tucson, AZ.

Oct 1 – First Friday Phoenix – Zombie Scavenger Hunt sponsored by the International Horror/SciFi Film Festival.
Oct 1-3 – Saboten-Con Anime Convention – Hilton Squaw Peak Resort
Oct 8-10 – RinCon Games 2010 – Tucson Convention Center – Annual Gaming convention with lots more including Wil Wheaton, Mike Stackpole, Jeff Mariotte and others. In conjunction with the Tucson Meet Yourself event.
Oct 8 – Downtown Mesa 2nd Friday Night Out Monster’s on Main with Steampunk Street, Lisa McMann Signing, Zombie Walk, and more! Evermore Nevermore has more details and updates.
Oct 14-17 – International Horror/SciFi Film Festival – Madcap Theatres, downtown Tempe.
Oct 29th – Connie Willis signing at the Poisoned Pen 7 pm for her new novel All Clear.
